Among the first Irishcompanies to have an EPD

Environmental Product Declaration

We have embarked on the process of evaluating the sustainability of our products and we were among the first Irish companies to have an EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) published by the IGBC (Irish Green Building Council)

An EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) is a standardised report which publishes data about theenvironmental impacts of a product or material over its lifetime. This data provides construction industry professionals with a transparent  source allowing the comparison of different products under a common set of environmental performance indicators. This EPD has allowed Munster Joinery to measure its performance and set goals in regard to sustainability while demonstrating our commitment to reducing carbon emissions.

We can assure our customers that all our products can meet the requirements for NZEB

NZEB and the window industry

The Irish government incorporated NZEB (Nearly Zero Energy Buidlings) into its building regulation standard for building energy efficiency in 2019.  This requires new homes to 70% more energy efficient and to emit 70% less carbon than a house built to the 2005 Building Regulations.

For window and door manufacturers this means meeting more stringent requirements in terms of U-value and airtightness.

At Munster Joinery we assure our customers that all our products can meet the requirements for NZEB.
